Softening Towards Humanity
We have come to an undeniably precarious time on our planet, and we are seeing more clearly than before, just how much human ignorance and arrogance contribute to this state of affairs.
Our view of ourselves as supreme among Earth's beings has made us insensitive to the very environment which is essential for our survival and wellbeing.
These times call us to a new sensitivity inside and outside; to a clear understanding of our contribution as it has been, and as it can be.
The programs offered by Moving Mountain Academy invite us into an exploration of new ways of being and belonging in our world.
Specifically, this short course invites us to explore the theme of a greater sensitivity to the condition of our humanity, both in an individual sense and collectively.
Why this course now?
Even as we become more clear about our own ignorance and arrogance, we can fall, and have fallen, into a rather harsh self-judgment about humanity, individually and as a race. This has translated into an unprecedented, high level of polarization among us humans. We are constantly criticizing each other publicly, and ourselves more privately.
The orientation of this course is to open us up in ways of taking responsibility without blame.
What does it mean to take responsibility without blame?
What does it mean to see our flaws and even name them clearly, but without judgment, and with compassion?
Is that really possible? If so, then how?
What would it mean to
soften towards our humanity, both inside and outside
see the larger context within which our human traits arise
be willing to allow ourselves to be transformed in service to a greater and greater truth...
Please join me to explore all these questions and possibilities, in this short course called
3-Thursdays Exploration - Softening into our Humanity,
in both, an individual and collective sense.

Who could this course serve?
Those who are feeling the pain of our collective world condition, and are tired of the polarization of the times we live in
Those who are active in environmentally conscious ways but feel a fearful urgency that may generate anger or resentment towards folks not similarly motivated.
Those for whom the spiritual journey and the life journey are one journey, and who feel called to play their individual part with more and more skillful means.
